W1 Waka

Finally, NZ’s very own W1 Waka. Vacuum Infused for extra strength and weight reduction, our Waka is built to perform in a wide range of conditions. Available in a range of constructions from standard fibreglass laminate through to the top of the line Full Carbon Fibre vacuum infused model.

Unlike other manufacturers, we use a process called vacuum infusion for ALL of our models. This keeps the weight variance to a minimum and makes for a much more rigid, stronger Waka than the traditional process. All Waka come with a custom-fitted footrest. Our Waka also comes with a full guarantee against any manufacturing faults and we have a purpose-built factory in Gisborne for all of the necessary after-sales service.

TEAM CARBON (NAKED)

We believe our Team Carbon construction is the lightest and strongest waka available in the world. Raw, exposed pre-preg carbon fibre construction, built with priority being on weight. The outside surface is clear exposed uni-directional pre-preg carbon fibre, cured in a state-of-the-art autoclave made using amazing one-piece construction. Fully rigged weight including ama and carbon kiato of 10.5kg!

PRO CARBON

Pre-preg, uni-directional carbon construction with premium grade Divinycell foam core. 100% carbon fibre pre-preg construction. Cured in a state-of-the-art autoclave, also using amazing one-piece construction. Fully rigged with ama and carbon kiato to a weight of 12kg.
